have no fear!

Enigmatic unsigned poster adorning paris streets and metros. Social criticism? Teaser related to the upcoming elections? ...

what you see is what you get

Unfortunately unidentifiable in my poorly shot photograph, the bag you see in this bus-stop ad is actually really hanging there! Perhaps not a novelty everywhere, Mango and Pantone's cobranding in 3D certainly stands out in the Parisian landscape.

this statue needs a waxing

Arriving at the Palais de Tokyo, the contemporary art museum of paris, I happened upon a group of graffiti artists who I imagine had been given an ok by the establishment to adorn one of the temporary construction walls with their artistic visions. Three guys completing their names in bubble letters with silver spray paint were surrounded by a dozen police officers that didn't seem to know what to do, or were unable to intervene. It seems they were looking for the culprit that ditched the wall and painted the stone sculptures instead, leaving a scene reminiscent of the anti-roman wall mural in Monty-Python's "Life of Brian".

welcome

"Citoyen du monde" invites people, separated geographically, to share through photos or short texts their personal responses to the environment in which they live.

This blog aims to generate the exchange of ideas concerning global issues, technological + conceptual innovations as manifested in one's immediate environment, as well as the divulgence of one's philosophical or artistic visions concerning society and habitat.

All ideas are welcome, though blog posts that are purely personally promotional, racist, sexist, or stupid, will be removed. Blogs can be posted in english or french. Any other language must be submitted with an english translation.

This blog hopes to evolve into an online magazine, depending on the interest and participation of the "citoyen" community.
